Horse BoardingDo you live in the Kamloops area and need a place to keep and ride your horse? Just passing through? Or maybe you live in the B.C. Lower Mainland and are looking for affordable winter boarding and a lot less fall-winter-spring mud? Our climate is semi-arid, averaging about nine inches of precipitation per year - many people ride year-round! You'll find endless trails at the BearCat since the ranch borders on Crown Land and Provincial Forests, so there's nothing between us and the backcountry; just saddle-up and hit the trail - no roads, no traffic to interfere with your riding experience. You'll find a variety of environments to explore, from semi-arid desert with sagebrush and cactus, to grasslands, to pine and fir forests. There are lakes, creeks, and wildlife, all within minutes of the hitching rail. You won't find big crowds at BearCat either. We're a working cattle ranch, not a big city-type "equestrian center". This means that, if you like, you can usually have the arena to yourself! Of course, if you prefer to ride with someone, you're not out of luck - most boarders share phone numbers and get together for trails rides; they even help out moving cattle!
